Muista kastella kukkasi

2024

lamberg’s installation Muista kastella kukkasi brings a part of their home to the gallery space for the listener to sit down and reflect on the silent battles that surrounds us all. Feeling of emptiness due to depression is portrayed on the piece by the lack of notes on the diary and the quiet every day sounds of home and immediate surroundings. The work was born from acceptance and realisation of artist’s inner feelings and understanding that there’s no need to hide those feelings inside yourself.

maybe one day i will no longer feel that way

2023

sometimes i feel like an outsider. i think we all feel that way sometimes. like we don't quite belong. i'd like to write more about this topic but feelings are difficult to describe. at least for me. that's why i made this piece. it describes my state of mind in these moments. flickering and melancholic, but also nostalgic. it's hard to grasp anything, it's easier to stay in your own shell.

in the collage-like work, maybe one day i will no longer feel that way, you can hear sounds produced and built by people but it can be difficult to quite grasp them. they can also be irritating. but also beauty can be found there. eventually.

birds in the sky, you know how I feel

2023

birds in the sky, you know how I feel is a creation born out of the summer heat. This piece, born in June 2023, is composed of field recordings made in Helsinki, along with the use of synthesizers and samples. The artwork has been constructed in lamberg's characteristic style, lightly manipulating digital and analog recordings. birds in the sky, you know how I feel is lamberg's first sound installation, inviting listeners to take a moment to both listen to the sounds and to themselves.
